Morocco vaccinates more than 200,000 people and records 281 new cases of Corona



The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced today, Monday, that it has vaccinated 200,81 people since the start of the vaccination process against the virus last Friday.


The Kingdom has begun to vaccinate those working on the front lines of the security and army, medical and educational workers, the elderly and people with chronic diseases, in a step aimed at vaccinating 80 percent of the population in stages that may take three months.


The ministry also stated that it had recorded 281 new cases of Coronavirus, down from 466 yesterday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 471,438 cases since the first case was announced on March 2.


Also, 12 new deaths were recorded, down from 16 yesterday, bringing the total deaths in the country due to Covid 19 to 8287. On the other hand, the government announced in a statement the extension of the night curfew measures that it had approved on January 13 from nine in the evening to six in the morning, two weeks. Additional because of "the epidemiological development of the Coronavirus at the global level, with the emergence of new strains of this virus in some neighboring countries."
